Barbados 4-H Foundation Strategic Planning Retreat Builds Consensus on Priorities for Action
The Barbados 4-H Foundation held a strategic planning retreat at the Conference Room in the Animal Nutrition Unit in the Pine on Saturday 11th February 2023 towards developing strategic priorities for action for the period 2023-2024. The retreat was an important step for the recently elected board of directors for brainstorming new ideas that will help 4-H in Barbados to evolve over the next two years. The process involved discussing existing challenges and finding solutions to the problems identified. The board members worked to build initial consensus on key themes and actions which they will further refine during regular meetings.
Key themes focused on:
1. Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of Barbados 4-H
2. Developing and implementing national 4-H projects
3. Introducing the new '4-H Fourward' Curriculum
Chairman of the 4-H Foundation, Mr. Alvin Romeo expressed his appreciation for the leadership and collaboration of the entire team of board members who worked together at the strategic planning retreat to create a vision for the young people who we have been elected to serve .
